Our Energy Advisors will evaluate your home’s energy efficiency and provide you with custom recommendations. The program offers financial incentives on renovations including increased insulation levels, air-sealing measures, high-efficiency heating systems, and much more. You could also be eligible for free energy savings products.
ThermalWise’s energy advisor’s are registered through NB Power Total Home Energy Savings Program and the Canada Greener Homes Initiative. Our licensed,
third-party energy advisors help you maximize the rebates and loans available through provincial and federal programs.

We work with you to maximize provincial and federal programs in a way that works for you. This means you are in control of what renovations you choose and the investment you make into your home. ThermalWise’s Energy Advisors will guide you through the process.
STEP 1
Register with NB Power Total Home Energy Savings Program and select ThermalWiseNB as your service provider.
STEP 2
If eligible, apply to the Canada Greener Homes Loan program and select ThermalWise NB as your service provider, only primary residences are eligible.
STEP 3
One of our energy advisors will come to your home and give you your custom recommendations.
STEP 4
If applicable, start your application for the Canada Greener Homes Initiative through your Greener Homes Portal
STEP 5
Plan your upgrades according to your recommendations and complete within 9 months.
STEP 6
Book your post-retro fit assessment with ThermalWiseNB to assess the changes.
STEP 7
Receive your rebate.

You will be contacted by the ThermalWise NB booking team as soon as we receive your application from NB Power. The application timeline with NB Power may vary as they assess application eligibility. Our team is unable to book an appointment until we receive a confirmed application from NB Power.

Upgrade purchases and installation must take place after your initial home energy evaluation.

Intake for initial home energy assessments are conducted solely through the NB Power Total Home Energy Savings Program. Please register through NB Power here, and select ThermalWise NB as your service provider.
Why should I complete the NB Power program if I am only interested in the Greener Homes program?
Most Greener Homes eligible efficiency upgrades are also eligible for additional rebates through the Total Home Energy Saving. The cost of the pre- and post-retrofit assessments are subsidized by NB Power. At this time we are unable to service homeowners for Greener Homes outside of the NB Power program.

The Canada Greener Homes Loan is an interest-free loan of up to $40,000 with a repayment term of 10 years, open to homeowners who have completed an eligible pre-retrofit assessment. The loan is currently available towards eligible efficiency upgrades recommended in the Renovation Upgrade Report. Homeowners in New Brunswick can access the application for the Greener Homes Loan through the Canada Greener Homes Grant application. You cannot apply for the loan without applying for the Greener Homes Grant program.

Homeowners are eligible for the Greener Homes interest-free loan program if they have applied for the Canada Greener Homes Grant program and completed a pre-retrofit home energy assessment for a home that is their primary residence. It is recommended you start your loan application prior to starting upgrades.
